Since the sick leave changes came into effect on 24 July there’s been a lot of confusion and we’ve been fielding an avalanche of questions.

Since Alert Level 4 came back into place, the Police have received 7,867 online breach notifications relating to businesses, mass gatherings or people; and 71 people have been charged with 75 offences as at 12 September 2021.

As we continue to navigate Alert Levels, here’s a few points to keep in mind.

The Government has confirmed it will continue to support businesses as we find ourselves once again at Alert Level 4. 

From 24 July 2021, employees will be entitled to 10 days’ sick leave for each 12-month period of employment
